HAPPY NEW YEAR to you all!

Isn't it amazing what you can achieve in a year, and how you can change as a person? When I was younger, a year used to feel like a decade, and now Christmases seem to come around quicker each year gone by!

This year I took on an extra boost of confidence as a person. I have been inspired by many around me to realise that whatever you want to do is in reach, as long as you give it your best shot. As they say "people who say they can and people who say they can't are usually always right."

A big thank you goes to all of those who read and support my blog. It truly means a lot to know that people enjoy following my work and encourage me to carry on. I thought it would be a great moment to look back on the year, as it's not often that you take a second to sit down and look back on what you've achieved. So in my post today I'd like to share with you some of my experiences I've had throughout 2013.

I wish you all the most magical year ahead!!

New York
What a city! It was the first time I visited the Big Apple and won't be the last. If you haven't yet visited NYC, add it to your 2014 list ;)

Istanbul
This has got to be top of my list on the places I've visited. Landing there with a totally open mind, I was welcomed by the friendliest of people and a cultural city full of stunning views and laced with incredible history. Need a weekend away somewhere new? Head to Istanbul, you won't regret it.

India
Well, I haven't shared my photos yet from this trip, but they are coming up in the next week. All I can say is wow. India is a unique place that somehow affects all the senses like never before - the sights, the sounds, the tastes, the smells (good and bad!). It is a place that requires more time than most, because there is just so much to do and see. More of my trip coming soon!

This year I challenged myself to be more creative with my photography, to use my surroundings and create a story with props, outfits and so on. These are some of my favourites 2013, and not just because they feature some of my favourite people :)

It was a significant year in 2013 for weddings. I had the chance to photograph my very first wedding this year, which was a fantastic opportunity. They were a wonderful and happy couple, and are now parents-to-be  - congratulations to you both!

It was also the year that my beautiful cousin, Myriam, got married! I had the chance to photograph her at the pre-wedding, getting ready to walk down the aisle... what a special moment this year :)

And of course...

F A S H I O N

This year I leapt into the world of fashion - discovering a whole new industry that I once knew nothing about. From personal style posts to fashion photography, I've learned more in this year than in a long time, following my completion of an internship with the fashion magazine, Harper's Bazaar. I'm so glad to have found something that I'm passionate about and cannot wait to delve further in and carry on challenging myself...
